steveweast
Very interesting links Kermit...thanks Pies...do you have a link ? diving isn't the only reason that we're going there....relaxation is a priority as well. I don't want the property to be too rustic; but, it was my understanding that there was some luxrious, yet small, properties in Fiji. Kermit
Steve, i recomend Mana Island resort it's the only place in Fiji i've been to, beutiful surroundings and heaps of activities, the locals are really friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. I've heard from a number of people that the Coral coast is very nice too but can't say i've experienced it for myself. Here's a link to Mana Island resort. http://www.manafiji.com/ Really lovely place, my wife and i would drop everything and live there if we could afford to, we loved it so much we're hoping to make it back at least ounce a year as we both love the place, as the locals say "Fiji time". steveweast
Thanks Kermit...that's exactly what I'm looking for...and it's so close to the Nadi airport too. I have a couple of other options too (one nearby in the Yasawas) in case they're full.....afterall, I'm going in peak season and my schedule isn't very flexible. cookie extreme
hi fay, i would recommend to learn how to dive in NZ. if one can dive here you can dive everywhere. many newbees learn diving in the clear warm tropics only to drown in colder waters. i have saved a few in my years. start now and you will have an awesome holiday without spending most of your holiday time studying for your course. you could go diving instead. Pies
Very good advice from Cookie. Diving in NZ is great, but difficult and dangerous compared to the tropics. Dive here, you will be blown away, then dive the tropics and be changed for life.
steveweast
Definately good advise from cookie.....I learned a few years ago in Puget Sound...water temp was 38F....I guess that would translate to somewhere around 1C or 2C since 32F = 0C.
