Modern Angl
my 4 Bronze Cats(1 female, 3 males), have spawned!! Again its the mysterious effect of moving them into a bigger tank, they only went into my 6ft community tank last night to make way for my 4 new plecs(named Death, War, Famine and Pestilence ) in the quarantein tank. They have left eggs in a couple of places on the glass in the tank, anyone have ideas on how to go about collecting the eggs into one place without squishing tem, or is it best to leave them where they are for now? Alan
Take them of with an EFPOS card and catch the eggs as they float down. Alan

Alan
You missed something Shae. See those white spots, eleven of them or there abouts? Those are the cory eggs. The neons are in the background Alan
Modern Angl
Alas, said Neons have picked off quite a few of the eggs, I've attempted to save the rest via the card method. Got about 20ish in a small breeding net in the tank. hopefully in 3-4 days they will hatch
Staplez
On the topic of cories spawning, how do you tell their sex? I've tried looking at fins and body shape but I can't figure them out.
Modern Angl
my female bronze cat is markedly bigger(approx 20pct) than the other 3 and when she is laden with eggs, you can actually see the bunch of eggs in her belly just behind her fins under the bronze strip along her body. Apart from that, no idea how to sex them
Bruce
With corys look at the dorsal fin Female fin is rounded and the male has a pointed fin, (Harder to see the difference in some species) Female bigger than the male Hope this helps /Bruce
Modern Angl
Update - the first eggs are starting to hatch, spotted a handful of wrigglers in the breeding net, they should have plenty of green water available, as the tank they are in is a bit on the greenish side, adding liquifry too, I'll get a picture up when I can get a good one
