bobo
Hey guys,I'm aiming for a low-medium densely planted tank. Thinking probably swords, crypts and other low light plants.Dimensions:120l x45d x60hDoes this LED unit look useful:http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/fish/lights-lamps/auction-973710751.htmA bit of technical detail on the smaller model:http://www.aquasanrise.com/List.asp?L-1166524031.html Or should I go for a 2x55W T5? Where can I get ~6500k T5 tubes from? Struggling to find any. Thank you in advance! Edited November 4, 2015 by bobo
Shilo
I just got the 120cm Aquaclassic version last week (no plants). Very impressed how it penetrated 50cm of water and the build quality looks good. The Aqualover will be more then ample for crypts etc in my opinion. Running costs will also be less because the LED's are 40w whilst 2 T5's are 110w, plus the T5's will need to be replaced when they wear out. bobo
Thanks for the response Shilo. Still dithering - just can't find much specific information/reviews out there for the Sanrise, and I'm a natural ditherer anyway.
alexyay
Personally I won't use LEDs that don't list things like PAR, but there aren't really any available in NZ that do I don't have any experience with Sanrise, but it does look a wee bit blue in terms of the wavelength spectrum.
