I saw some "Balloon" ones at animates that were very white with an orange head I wondered if they would become more blue as they got older. Also there bodies were rather rounded!! I'm keen on a pair of electric blue rams but apart from the ones at animates I haven't really looked at ones in real life, the google images for electric blue rams show both rounded ones and oval shaped bodies. Adrienne Posted March 26, 2015 Report Share Posted March 26, 2015 My understanding is the electric blue balloon ram is a genetic mutation of the electric blue ram. The electric blue ram in a mutation of the german ram. Balloon rams will be round as they have been developed to look like that. I note you have spelled it Baloon which I image is how it is labelled. If so it's a spelling mistake. Both blue and gold rams are very sensitive to water conditions. You can either keep them alive and they thrive and breed or they die quickly - mine die!
