newaqua
Hi All I have 2 male bristle nose. They have lived together for a while, but one has grown from a baby and is obviously now ready to mate with the female. Hence they are now fighting. Will this fighting continue, or will it eventually stop once they sort it out? Are they the type to duel to the death? Or will they stop before then? Cheers
Caryl
I have heard people say their BNs have killed each other but mine never have. Perhaps if the tank is big enough with plenty of hiding places, and plants, they have a chance to get away?
shane
If you want to sell one I'm very keen to have a male I want one for my female But I can't get until the 24th when my wife comes Down to me
newaqua
Thanks for the offer but I want to keep them. I might just separate them for the time being. They already breed as it is, but if I could get two pairs breeding it would be even better!
alexyay
I have also heard of rival males killing each other (even females). My 6 females live without any visible issues in a 220L but it's hard to tell as they're quite timid so I don't get to see their activity, really. Caryl
I had 8 adults, 4 of them male, living together in a 4ft, 280L, heavily planted tank for almost 15 years with no problems. They certainly fought over food and girls a bit but not in a way that lead to damage or death.
