terry17
Hi everone...it has been a long time :-) I have a 350L planted tank with 8 discus fish and a few other small fish in. I am thinking of adding a few dwarf cichlids in. I am thinking of Blue ram or Kribs. I have kept blue rams before and they get on well with the discus. Since Kribs are easy to keep and breed, I would like to give it a go. Would the Kribs get on well with discus fish and blue ram? My pH is about 5.5-6.5 generally. Many thanks
hovmoller
Yes they go well together. I used to keep Discus and Kribs together. Discus would get the occasional feed of Krib babies though but with dense vegetation some will survive. Interesting thing with Kribs is that the sex of the babies are pH related. So if you have slightly acidic water like you say you do then you might end up with either all male or all female fry. (can't remember which does what)
Godly3vil
The kribs will be fine with discus, but not so much with the rams.
terry17
Thank you for the aboves. Is Kribs easier to keep than blue ramps?
Godly3vil
Definitely, kribs are like the platys of the cichlid world.
