I will try and find the info for what server and room name and all that. Hope to meet yous there tonight maybe. Invercargill has a great gravel supplier, the best I've found in NZ. Southland Sand and Gravel, really cheap too. Freight is a real killer to send to here though... How long did it take you to adjust to Otagos inclement weather patterns! Penejane and I both bought our tanks from East Road Pets in Invercargill, one of very few LFS in town. They supplied the gravel for my 3footer as part of a package deal, so I assume they source it from Southland Sand and Gravel, and not that I have much experience or knowledge of aquarium gravel but I like it. I have had my baby boy (4 weeks early) but he is doing well and so are my fish for the few days I was up in hospital. LOL I have to say I was more worried about my fish more than anything lol, who was going to feed them, who to blame if any die, whos going to watch out for babies, whos going to catch the babies and blah blah blah lol but its all good and they are still all alive Since getting the tank I have only had 2 fish die, (1 put down) so I feel that I am doing pretty good and I have had 3 drops of fry since easter weekend (when I first started). Maxy Posted May 1, 2005 Report Share Posted May 1, 2005 Congratulations on the baby Penejane and yay for your fish! I had a few issues with my tank about four weeks into it. I got carried away and added to many fish to fast and lost about 7 all up (not including the 20odd neons that my delightful pictus was dining on at nite!) but now its all under control and fish and tank very healthy. Bought some bumblebee gobys, rummynose tetras and another clown loach yesterday at East Road. Was a bit disappointed at their selection, its usually really good. The last two times Ive been in there, they havent had much to choose from. They get a new shipment of fish every friday, but you wouldnt think it! I am about to get my first batch of fry in the next few weeks from mum guppy and then another guppy is due in about a month or so. Not sure what to do with the fry as I have no nursery tank and at this stage Im not too worried if they do become fodder!
