samuel90
They carry a bit of a price, but from online pictures it sure looks like it is made of quality! In regards to the following product http://www.petworld.co.nz/index.php?pag ... t&Itemid=1 I would like to upgrade my africans from their 75gal to this 105gal unit- and hoping that I then stop buying bigger and bigger tanks.... haha But my current 75gal has two 1250 canisters on it, the BOYU comes with a 1200l/hour return system. Does anyone know if I can change this myself? Is it just an included canister, or a sump?
Adrienne
Its being sold as a plug and play so I suspect the filtration is in the back of the cabinet, similar to the Red Sea Max 250 tank. Just be aware that if you fiddle with the construction of the tank or stand then you will be not be covered under warranty should anything happen. nudge
Wow thats expensive. Just my opinion but you could get a custom made tank and stand for less than that. Theres a good tank builder on here (greg from tanks2u) I'd get a price off him and there are a couple of shops in auck who build stands if you don't know anyone to build it for you. The footprint of that tank is not very good for Africans, they need width. If you are investing in new tank go for one that is 600mm wide. Length and width are more important than height. I got a 5ft tank from greg and me and my oldman knocked up a stand and all up it prob cost me just over $500 so its def worth looking into
kinnadian
My 450L turtle tank from greg was $350. Add $500 or so for an FX5, $300 for 2 2xT8 light hoods, around $500 for a REALLY NICE tank stand, and you've got tank dimensions that suit YOU and your fish (ie nice and wide, 600 min), MUCH better filtration, better lights, and you've saved yourself $650!!! samuel90
Oh wow, I am curious as to who I can talk to about getting a larger tank made.... I want more variety in my african cichlid tank so I want to double at least the capacity, and upgrade it's footprint too. Looking for around a 450L+ and Will want a nice stand made to match it. There is time if it takes a while, as it will not be needed for another 8 weeks... so hopefully enough time to order it, have it shipped to queens town and set up before I arrive with all my fish! Who/How do I go about making enquiries to?
nudge
There is a list of tank makers in the commercial trade section not to sure on how you'll go on delivery didn't realise you are in QT as it says tauranga as your location. Godly3vil
Your only choice for a tank that size in Queenstown is finding someone that will either ship you one or picking one up yourself from out of town. You will be hard pressed to find a custom tank maker who will ship a tank especially the size you are wanting.
