Maketu Harbour – and ecological experience

Sunday March 9 2014, 9am-12 noon. Join Maketu Ongatoro Wetland Society (MOWS) and walk down Maketu Spit, look at the ecology, drive to Maketu Road & observe the harbour, spartina, gut weed & drains. At Maketu Sportsfield you can see waders, at Maketu Surf Club, birdlife and lunch (BYO). Location: Meet at Kaituna Scenic Reserve, Ford Road, Te Tumu. Cost: $5 contribution to MOWS. Bookings essential, max 12 people.
