kiwi101
Hoping I got the right stuff for a start, lol Do I just put it in the tank in an even layer and then cover with substrate, then add water? I'm guessing I don't want to be adding it to an already water filled tank? Will it change PH or other levels?
Barnsey
Yes that's right, layer of aquatic mix then substrate of choice. just be careful when adding the water not to stir up the clay (aquatic mix). Don't think it changes the ph but not too sure.
Ira
Do I just put it in the tank in an even layer and then cover with substrate, then add water? Yup, though it doesn't need to be an even layer depending on your landscaping. I'm guessing I don't want to be adding it to an already water filled tank? Yup. I suppose you could add it to an already filled tank, that's what I did. Swept all the substrate out of an area at the back of the tank, then dumped small plastic containers of it in the back to minimize the mess...Still made a huge mess, but manageable. Will it change PH or other levels? Nope.
