Picked up an rsm, wanted to try a nano all in one so took the opportunity.

Unit is not that old but had a hard life, both Pl bulbs were gone so took out the lights and retro fitted an LED unit, it was a 90cm so cut 34cm off the heat sink with the drop saw.

Ordered a new impellor for the skimmer and scavenged one also for 1 of the flow pumps, amazing the things you collect over the years.

The tank is a tidy unit that the designers have used the space well in, the back 100mm contains the skimmer, pumps and seperate plug box, all cables and switches are labelled and recessed into frame and covered.

Unit came with 10kg of live that war covered in majano anemones so i cooked the rock in a bucket of salt water for 2 weeks to kill them all off, no aeration or water movement. Put rock back in sump of a mature system to enliven it again.

To be continued...
