gemelee
I have a spare 60 x 40 x 30cm tank that is water tight but has a rather large chip in the bottom corner and would only feel safe with it having a few inches of water, so I've decided to go for a golden bell frog or 2. I would love it to be as natural looking as possible but am unsure of what's emersed plants would be suitable. Say ideas? Also would I be better off with one or two frogs? Thanks heaps :bggrn:
Insect Direct
Hi there, there is already a thread on here that had a list of plants for frogs but I can't find it via search ... seen it the other day. Ficus pumila is a good climber for walls or up drift wood. Often found at The Warehouse in amongst the little plants. May find more via search - I may try again later but it frustrates me lol Basically need hardy plants as the bell frogs get big and trample them. :smln:
aotealotl
Back in Europe I did use 'Epipremnum aureum' (german name Efeutüte, don't know the kiwi name) for most of my big frogs. sturdy plant, easy to grow. Still haven't found them here in NZ but I know they are available. I probably have to mail order them.
