Cybertech
Yep had to put peat in the water of my friends tank she just brought a couple of handy of new fish. Tested yesterday and had to lower ph from 7.8. Tested water from taps at hers and mine today and both came up with the same results Ba humbug lol. blueether
Tap water is normally around 7.4 PH. They may have added something extra with all the fresh yesterday :dunno:
smidey
They purposely keep in alkaline as acidic is real great for the system
David R
If the peat is working to lower the pH then I don't think it will really matter as the hardness is obviously fairly low. Just keep using the peat and don't do ridiculously large water changes.
