newbiefishcpl
Hi all We have had our tank (130ltr) for a year now and after the first initial loss's everything seemed to be ok. We have a BN, two bolivian rams, 3 neon tetras and 3 harlequin rasboras. My question is about one of my rams. He was always the shy, bullied one of the pair, but was happy swimming around and doing his thing. Over the last couple of days he has been sitting on the bottom alot and most of the time his back fin is flat, not up like it used to be. He does seem to be gulping a bit more than the other one, but is still alive, eating and moving around (mainly on the bottom). He does get chased by his friend and the BN at feeding time, so I'm not sure if he's just scared and gotten battered around by BN or his mate or if he's sick. Any ideas?? Adrienne
Could be either reason but I tend to think the clamped top fin combined with heavier breathing is possibly external parasites. Do you have a strong magnifying glass?
