camtang Posted August 24, 2013 Report Share Posted August 24, 2013 I am looking at cutting my power consumption my current 8,000 LPH pump runs at 180W and my 5,000 LPH runs at 81W. I found this on trade me http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =630015146 which has significant lower power consumption. Has anyone used one of these? Thoughts on it? David R Posted August 24, 2013 Report Share Posted August 24, 2013 Laguna have always been my choice for return pumps, I wasn't at all impressed with the Eheim Compact I bought. They're very efficient on power, reliable and quiet too. Certainly more expensive than the sunsun-type Chinese brands, but I do believe you get what you pay for with critical items like return pumps.
