henward
I bought a weipro PH Controller. the controller/probe is 7 months old. its been in constant use the entire time. how often do you have to change the prob and the buffer solution? i always double check my readings with a test kit. it seems that the meter is reading the tank and the buffer solution differently but my test kit is showing them to be silimar (tank and buffer solution is 6.9 to 7 on testkit, but controller says tank is 6.6ph, buffer is 7ph) then i try tap water - its showing as 7.4 on testkit, but the ph controller wont go over 7.1 in its reading. Godly3vil
You're supposed to re calibrate them monthly, I do mine every few months and it's only ever out by a tiny little bit. They also recommend replacing the probe every 6 months or so.
henward
oh ok. I calibrate mine monthly too. I don't 'clean' it though. but in saying that - I do rinse it after calibration as I don't know what the calibrating fluid is. its been 7 months. I assume, being weipro, not an industrial brand that the probe is not as long live. has anyone used hanna or blue lab monitors?
