F15hguy
water parameters??? ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH. when you say temp (and other stuff) is good, what do you mean? (also make sure your thermometer is accurate, try another thermometer to double check) fighters can be tough or weak (generally the fancier the fish the weaker) so the other one not being affected may not be a sign of everything being ok
MareeHood
Yeah ph etc are fine. Has died now. think ill stick to less fancy ones
F15hguy
pH fine = what??? fighters prefer pH slightly on the acidic side. also make sure you are not playing with the pH as a swings in pH are deadly to fish, (don't get sucked into the "Betta" water conditioner , they are fine as long as you don't mind flushing $$$ down the drain) most are happy in pH of up to 7.5 as long as it is stable (most NZ tap water should be between 7.0 and 7.5) to provide help we need actual figures. if it is a water quality issue then wouldn't you like to know before your other one dies??? (p.s. what kind of 3 bay tank do you have, some commercial models are good, some are candidates for Animal cruelty charges)
alexyay
Any bloat, raised scales etc? Like F15hguy said, it'll be easier to help when we know numbers
SamH
Did you buy your fighter from a pet store by any chance? When you buy from the store they can be 1-1.5 years old already, they sell them at this age because this is when their fins are the largest. Fighters only live around 1.5-2 years anyways and are sensitive to all kinds of things. Buying from a breeder is best.
