Adrienne
ouch - what is in the tank that it may have given itself a cut like that from? Suggestions - make sure the aquarium water is kept very clean, even put the cory in another tank by itself if you have one, or float an icecream container with water in it in the top of your tank and put the cory in it. You will have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesnt become infected or fungus. If you have aquarium salt you could add one gram of salt per litre of water, if in a container change the water twice daily using tank water with replacement salt. Or if you have melafix I would add some of that.
Hayden
All there is in the tank is a couple of rocks I made sure the edges where smooth when I put them in other than that a few bits of wood and some plants . The only thing I think it could be is a barb off a clown loach they can be rather Crazy at feeding time . Atm im setting up a hospital tank for her so I can keep a better on her but she doesn't seem to know its there swimming and feeding as normal. DoubleDutch
Update? Strangely enough we'd got a topic about a Peppered Cory with a cut / wound. Also a female and it is believed to be caused by the males while spawning. Greetz Aad
Hayden
After i put her in a hospital tank for a week doing 2 water changes a day and adding aquarium salts i used 0.5g per 1 liter it was all good and now shes happily swimming back in the main tank with her mates. But im still unsure why this happened but the main thing is she is all good now
