dino
I have a 100ltr tank with GBR's (pair). I cannot seem to get them to stop itching! :dunno: (Not ich) My parameters are spot on, I do water changes (good filtered water 30% every 3 days) I have an eheim external canister that is more then adequate. I have used formalin 5% because I know flukes can be a problem...but still itching. Thinking about a UV system, the ones you see on trademe for $60-$80. Comments please. Thanks parameters ph 7 nitrites 0 nitrates 0 Ammonia
alanmin4304
Have you checked for velvet? Easiest way is to wait until it is dark and with the lights out look at them with a torch. If whitespot looks like they are sprinkled with salt then velvet looks like they are sprinkled with pepper. If it is not that then I would look at gyrodactylus. The skin usually looks milky but can realy only be confirmed with a skin scrape under a microscope.
#!CrunchBang
If you really want a UV unit, www.fish-street.com has some cheap ones that do a pretty good job.
