Blackcat13
Hi there I have 2 Rosie Barbs who are being real bullies to my Blackmore , any suggestions other than to separate them to their own play pens. The poor blackmore has bite marks all over and is spending his time at the top of the tank only, seems to be where the barbs go the least. Also have a few mountain minnows in there but they keep to themselves and are fine. Thanks Heaps.
Caryl
If you have the space, add more barbs. They are a shoaling fish and prefer to be in groups of 6 or more. When in larger groups they are so busy seeing to their own pecking order they leave other fish alone.
Blackcat13
Thanks, its only a 40 litre tank so dont think I can add any more , but then I dont know much about the Barbs, do they grow as big a goldfish, therefore have the same restrictions on tank ? Caryl
If it is only a 40 litre then I would get rid of the barbs and leave the black moor by itself.
Caryl
I assumed they were all in a tropical tank mystic.
