female bettas

10x10x15 isn't a cube and you shouldn't calculate your tank space as different areas, you can't keep fish in set areas without physical barriers. I'm assuming you're talking about a full sized aquarium here, give us a bit more info such as..

1. The length, width and height of the aquarium

2. What type of aquarium? Unplanted, lightly planted, heavily planted? Lots of hiding spots, bare tank?

Female Bettas can be kept together provided they're introduced at the same time, have been kept or raised with other females and there are enough hiding spots/line of sight is broken.

I think there's a few questions mixed up in there :D

You can keep females together no problem. As soon as you introduce a male to the mix, you'll likely have aggression problems.

Min tank space for each male betta is quite small, as you can probably see by how a lot of people keep them in half cut - coke bottles and jars or the way they're kept in animates before being sold. . Don't do this, it's not nice :D.

I've found all my bettas to be a lot happier when they have at least 20l each. By happier, I mean it shows in their behaviour. They are a lot more active and "inquisitive".

No need for a bubbler =)

They're still an aggressive species, I've had related females in a 3ft tank and they still fought, some to the death even. It all depends on the character of the fish but generally they can be kept together.

Okay now this is just confusing. You're talking about the AquaOne Betta Barracks yes? I've heard nothing but bad things about those. If you need to keep males next to each other, slip a piece of card between the compartments and don't let them see each other for more than 30mins per day. Most people use the coke bottle method with success though. Females probably won't need to be kept in the barracks.

I have an aquaone barracks. Horrible things to clean, need to do water changes almost everyday, and the drippy things jam up and dont drip water out, fish jump out, small stupid ones swim through the hole and either get stuck or disappear into the sump depending on if they are on the top or bottom rack. Plus if the sump isnt topped up on a daily basis the heater will become exposed within 2 days and blow. Haha sorry for the rant about them, they are handy for growing out young fish though if you cover up the hole at the back

I only use them for short term housing to grow up young males. Females can be very nasty to each other. They are naturally solitary fish and some females need to be treated like males (separated from everyone else). I do as Sam suggested and put plastic in between the jars so they cant see each other. In my opinion coke bottles with holes would be the most efficient way of keeping them, I would if i had space.
