superico
it is doing very well(it at least tripled in mass since i got it) but i don't like it, it doesn't fit the tank and it was an impulse buy.

SamH
Not familiar with posting plants? Basically it's plants in a ziplock bag with a bit of water, taped up and sent in a courier bag. All the plants I've received have taken the journey well. Up to you
superico
how many plants would you swap for about 4-5 petshop pots full
SamH
Most of what I have in my tank. It's really taking over, I'd only keep a couple of plants for myself.

superico
how long does it usually take for dwarf cichlids to color up?
Joe
Depends on the condition of the fish, water parameters, how old the fish are and what they have been fed on.
superico
he seems in pretty good condition, very active and i don't really know about what he eats as he hides allot and doesn't come out all the time when I feed but he was munching on some mosquito larvae that I found like there's no tomorrow earlier the water is at 7 ph and 0 ppm ammonia, nitrate and nitrite and KH is at
Joe
For Flags those conditions are great. And as long as he's really active and he is eating then that's the main thing
F15hguy
they do tend to be a bit shy until breeding time, lotsa dither fish is the key ime
superico
is it bad if his fins are getting black spots on them
F15hguy
pics??? could just be a colouring thing, or a sign of breeding colours beginning (they go quite dark) also the edge of the tail tends to go darker with age to a black eventually (more noticable in dimly lit, heavily planted tanks)
superico
sorry for not updating for so long. so what's happened: I moved the hygropholia to cover the whole back glass and the rotala to the left side under the spray bar. I got the echinodorus quadricostatus and planted it in the front of the tank. I brought 10 cardinals(plus another 10 which I will pick up in 2 weeks) (they got really pale during transport but colored up after half an hour in the tank) I got a pair of double red apistogramma agassizi Male: (excuse the snail) Female Together: and a pic of the laetacara getting black spots
Joe
Stunning Double Reds and Cardinals !drool: They are incredibly healthy and good quality fish Your "rotala" under the spray bar is actually Ludwigia arcuata The Laetacara curviceps looks healthy. Some indiviuals do have a couple of black spots on the back. It is normal colouration.
SamH
Looking good! That sword looks as it did when I first got it, pull or cut off all of clear and dead leaves as you see them and it'll bounce back in no time.
