BK
Is there any problems using water out of a hot water cylinder (copper pipes etc). I'm in CHCH so water source good. Have been using this for months now and no problems I think. Just got Discus so don't want to kill thses guys. Snails alive and well in tank, Doesn't copper kill them?? Cylinders about 5 years old, over time will it become a problem.
HummingBird
Copper Sulfate kills snails. No idea if using stuff out of a hot water cylinder's ok though.
Caryl
I use hot water straight from the tap no problems. Some older houses can be a hassle with older pipes and corrosion.
DiverJohn
No probs with that here... I mix cold water from the tap and a bit of hot to get temp up. Add some aqua plus, then straight in the tank. No probs so far.
