The 36w was plenty when you aren't growing plants, and it didn't light the whole tank up white - left shadows etc Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Stella Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 Remember the depth of the water is more important for lighting than the length. A deep tank will need more kickass lighting than a shallow one. Also a tank that is particularly wide (front to back) may need more lights across the width.
