Faithbleed
Hi All I pretty new to the whole marine tank scene, but have a question. I've added 3 chromis to my 300L tank about a week ago and today just noticed a tiny white spot on the tail fin of the largest of the 3 chromis. The spot is smaller than the head of a ball point pen and is visible from both sides of the tail I'm not sure if it's just appeared or if it's always been there or if it's just a just a bit of shmutz that's stuck to it's tail, but I thought I'd ask. The fish itself is behaving normally, eating as veraciously as ever and doesn't seem bothered. If it's white spot/salt water itch, how can I confirm and/or what should I do? Cheers Dave
Cricketman
Google photos of Ich and compare to the spot you're talking about. It may be a cyst if it on both sides? :dunno: Photos are good too, especially if you can catch the fish in question for a 2 second photo shoot... Faithbleed
Cheers, I googled, but the images all look like pretty advanced cases. I can't see a lump, it's really just a white coloured spot. I tried to grab a photo, but they're too quick and the spots too small to be evident in the photo. Faithbleed
Found another white spot, this one with a lump near it's left eye. I'm pretty sure this is saltwater ich no. Can anyone suggest any solutions?
livingart
most remedies are not a 100% effective clean water and don't stress fish any further, patience may not be ich so don't panic
Faithbleed
Thanks LA. The spot on his eye's gone, white spot on tails is still there, so now longer at panic stations. :happy2: Will keep an eye on him though.
