thecap
Hello, I was given a fluvel edge tank a few years ago which is a small (22l) almost a fully enclosed tank with 2 halogen lights. It was a little hard to keep and was retired. I have done a few modifications from this site http://aquaristik.bplaced.com/ Basically have replaced the halogens with LEDs and added another 5 LEDs rated about 6000K. I have added CO2 through a diffuser directly into the filter. First time at a high tech tank and most info from this forum Used Seachem flourite black sand Planted Glossostigma elantinoides, Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae, Eleocharis acicularis & Echinodorus horemani 6 hours of light and CO2 Day 1 Day 2 Still a bit cloudy Plan to add 4 otocinclus in a few weeks....................... grow grow grow :spop:

thecap
Thanks I am now addicted to bubbles... could stare at them for hours. Every thing seems to be going ok, brown algae totally took over the Lilaeopsis and a little on the glass and a little green algae. Have added 4 otocinclus yay.... bubbles and fish These little guys went nuts on it and cleared it up overnight Glosso taking off nicely and lots of pearling and the sword has grown quit a bit I am using KH & PH to measure CO2 ppm, i have a KH degree test that when i add the first drop the water stays clear, second drop slight yellow, third drop yellow. Would you say the KH is 1 or 2?
