henward
ok. i am thinking. if i was to cross a female Flowerhorn with a male festae. i would assume the male festae would also contain similar if not same genetics as a female one, just shows differently in the 2 genders. its hard to find female festae, but male is much easier. could i use a male festae to breed with a female flowerhorn? would the result be the same in theory if i used a male FH and a fem Festae? #!CrunchBang
Males and females carry the same general genes except what is on the Y chromosome. It would be my guess that any male specific genes would come from the male but the females would be pretty much the same. The X chromosomes would have crossover of genes, but one chromosome would be disabled.
