Melindaroger
Hi complete newbie here, I have recently bought the above tank second hand on trademe, included were 2 clown loaches, 2 rummy nose tetras and 1 bristlenose. The lady I bought off said she has had the tank and clown loaches for about 7 years, from babies. She suggested adding more clown loaches. Now after doing research on here and other sites I realise the loaches arent really suitable for this size of tank. They seem healthy and active and look like great mates swimming around together. They are approx 7 and 6cm in length. Also found out that the rummy noses are better in a larger group, the 2 by themselves are quite shy. Now I am not sure what I should do, buy more rummy nose tetras, sell or swap the clown loaches, or keep them since they have already lived happily this fishtank for 7 years. I think I might need to start again with new fish! Anyone have suggestions on what would be suitable for a beginner with this type of set up? Any help or suggestions appreciated! Caryl
The clown loaches are very slow growers but I suggest you rehome them and get more rummys.

LYNDYLOO
I would think you could get 20 in there no trouble :happy1: Large school of Rummy Noses looks great What sort of filter are you running on this tank??
