I think it most likely they are diving beetle larvae as there are quite a few of these in the ponds. I fished a few out today and will scopp out more. Can't have them eating all my daphnia! luvguppies Posted March 9, 2005 Report Share Posted March 9, 2005 I had a few of those bug looking thingees in my guppy tank about a year ago! when they got larger they would climb out of the tank then die! I don't know if they were exactly the same ones or different, but they certainly looked very similar to the picture. They used to live in, on and around my filter....I don't remember having any guppy fry at the time....maybe it was beacuse of these things.
