just brought this pleco to put in my jag tank hoping it ll clean algae, before buying i was thinking about problems that the jag might cause to it, but turns out the pleco just in the little time of 20minutes being in the tank its starting to chase the male jag going around in circles...i didnt know plecos are that aggressive?

Pleco dont normally eat algae..they pooh alot and suck on dead fish..

I think you are looking for Bristlenose cat fish" they only grow out at small size..

You also have a adult Jag..if you are getting some bristlenose, get a adult size bristlenose..

the pleco you got is no good for cleaning algae

Ur water looked ok..try reduce tank light..or have good water flow"

im just randomly large getting dark green patches in the glass and the rocks, first time i had those algae i just scrubbed it off and it was alot of work, so i was thinking of getting something permanent. just befpre ive separated them with a temporary separator to let them calm down. now they seem to leave eat other alone.. funny aftermath as the jag looks like its got some lighten lip stick on and the the plec have a bite scratch on the side body. :sml1:
