LYNDYLOO
I might be able to supply you with the Tex Screws, we sell them to the TV Aerial Technicans that buy gear off us. If you give me the size and how many you need I can pop them into a courier bag for u Lynda
Squirt
Thanks for the offer! Can you PM me a price for about 35 odd that are 175mm long to compensate for the size of the end of it? And courier? (It has to go through one 100mm post, then have enough room left on the end for it to screw into the second post, if that makes sense?) Thanks I assume Tex (Tek?) screws, screw in the same way as any other. Is there any benefit of using Tex screws vs Coach screws? Thanks again
LYNDYLOO
Have talked to hubby, he tells me the largest we have is 150mm in Tech Screws, he recommends if you are going to use Tech screws, you really should glue and screw te stand using 175mm Tech Screws. Have you thought about using Coach bolts with the nut on the end??

smidey
my stand is made of 70x45 and 70x35, it's 2.0m long and stronger than it needs to be. reducing the timber size will make it alot cheaper and easier to build the stand. Squirt
Hi all, I guess I should update now. I've asked the LFS who got all their tanks and stands made from port nichilson glass to get me a quote for a stand made from steel with a wooden doors ect. So if it is under $300-400 I would consider that than making my own. Unsure as of now, as this money had been reserved for my Singapore trip In a few weeks  Thanks

Squirt
I will next week, will see if there is a difference in the LFS quote vs His. He may give them a discount due to them buying multiple tanks, sumps and stands off him.
