Josh_S
Hi all, we purchased 3 female bettas from hff last weekend and today i discovered a nice big bubble nest in their tank. Now im guessing that one is a male? or do females build bubble nests too? i can put up photos if that helps
mcrudd
I am not very clever when it comes to bettas, but I am a good googler  http://www.paw-talk.net/forums/f77/do-female-bettas-build-bubble-nests-21811.html Found you this, scroll down for the answer. I find the little white spot thing interesting, never heard of it though

Trilobite
Or you could have been sold a male plakat. I scored 2 that were sold as females
Adrienne
Either a male plakat or a hermaphrodite. I had a female who was a hermaphrodite - she built a bubble nest, dropped her eggs, put them in the nest and then tended them for three days before eating them. It was a good big bubble nest as well
