si_sphinx
The smaller one soon lost the fight and has gone pale and the bigger one has darkened up with the other one and they now share a ceramic pot together. From the behaviour would you say I have 2 males and a female?
phoenix44
Where'd you get them from? Looks like fighting? almost. Well not fighting, but dominance issues? Who knows.. very, very pretty fish though!
KrazyGeoff
Nice group of L142 I agree with P44 in regard to more of a dominance issue rather than a fight. I've seen behaviour similar to this (different type of plec) with males trying to get females to submit  With the big L142 males they tend to just bully one another and spike everything with the big spikes that they grow on their cheeks. They can vacuume themselves to the rocks etc, and the winner of the "fight" seems to be the one that can make the other one "move away" Hence trying to "mouth" the cheek area will prove to be an unwise move if things were getting serious. At about 15-18cm you get a pretty good guess at the sex of these. These ones are "toddlers" I would imagine, and we all know how they behaive.
