Rob2904
Hi I have a heavily planted tank and have had an outbreak of small ramshorn snails. I dont want to nuke the tank with chemicals and was thinking of adding some loaches as a natural remedy. What loaches eat snails, dont grow to big and like a heavily planted tank? any thoughts are welcomed.
antwan
Nice tank, dwarf chain loaches are pretty small, look good, and clean up snails no worries.
Sophia
how big is the tank, you might be able to get bigger ones than dwarf chain loaches, though they are exceedingly cute
LisaC
What sort of snails do you have? Dwarf chain loaches are cool and do a great job, but they don't eat Malaysian trumpet snails

Ismart120
Angelius loaches may be better for a more peaceful tank (although skunks are awesome anyway), they dont eat the big mts usually but all the small ones and control the population quite well
amtiskaw
My dwarf chain loaches don't eat snails at all :dunno:
Joe
Give Zodiac loaches a go. They are bigger than dwarf chain loaches but they still have that cuteness factor that Sophia mentioned
