Gill
Hi I'm finally getting round to setting up my new tank which is 180cm x60x50.Not going to go stump at this stage. I'm moving my loaches into it . Would you recommend two Eheims or 1 FX5 as I'm thinking one filter won't give enough water movement etc. The tank isn't going to be over stocked well not at this stage. ryanjury
An FX5 would be a good start And probably be fine if you weren't going to overstock it.

Two eheim 2006s won't be enough, they're only good for about 30 liters tanks. I'd go for the FX-5. Unless you had some other eheim in mind? :slfg: Seriously, though. Assuming similar total flow rates and price I'd go for two filters rather than just one. And you can throw powerheads in if you want more current. Gill
I was thinking either Eheim 2 x 2217 or FX5 decisions decisions to make
Snowman
Id say the 2 x 2217 eheims, i use 2 on my 800ltr with 2 sunsun magnetic powerheads for extra flow, ive got a 2260 to put in but will continue with at least 1 x 2217, the 2217 is a great simple reliable filter. henward
Fx5 is better value, and they really crank it, i have 3 and they are friggin awesome! powerful if you want movement in the tank for clown loaches - water flow, i sugges tyou get a small tiny power head
