Chug
can i add these to my tank? we have neons, clown loaches, platties, yoyo loach, rummy noes, swordtails... normal fish from the LPS
jackp
sounds like a bad idea to me. african cichlids tend to be aggressive and require high ph water. some of the fish in your tank might be alright, but i suspect a lot of them would be killed. Chug
that is also what I thought.... however the trader replied to me was "Ok whatever", which then I pondered if I was :dunno: wrong
Squirt
Haha he doesn't know if he replied like that...
jackp
i'm new to keeping africans, so may be wrong, but pretty sure it would be a bad idea. be careful buying off trademe (and even some petshops). some people either don't know or will lie to get a sale. ryanjury
Temporarily when small they may be ok, but they will get big enough to eat most of those fish.. Sometimes they can even be ok full term, but generally it isn't recommended and you wont be able to provide water conditions that really suit all of those fish, sure they will adjust but then it becomes a question of if you want to provide conditions that your fish will live in or conditions which they will thrive in.. Jack isn't far off there, tons of dodgy "breeders" around the place, pics off the net breeding in mixed tanks, sourcing fish from random places.. And attitudes can easily be judged by how people answer questions.
