SuPeRmAn
Hi Everyone. I currently have a 75 gallon tank with a Jack Dempsey(that I'm trying to sell...) and an Oscar. I want to change to something different. I was thinking either a peaceful community tank (eg. tetra's, corry's, Dwarf gouramies etc...) or African cichlids. Or should I just stick with the Oscar - or maybe some other large interesting fish?? Also would turing it into a marine tank be a possibility? All opinions welcome Thanks
Ira
You can do all of the above. So, what do YOU want to do?

mcrudd
I really have no idea? I'm looking for the most attractive display. Any suggestions? That is a hard one :-? Different things can look great for us but not for you. I suggest you look at a whole lot of our tanks in the members tanks section and see if you like something. I currently have a planted tank with a huge school of harlequins which look very nice for me, but you might prefer a bigger fish or more colourful fish. Its really up to you, but have a look around at other tanks and decide from there
David R
Best suggestion is to figure out what you find most attractive and go for that!! Some people would say marine/reef is most attractive because of the colour (also most expensive), some would say a planted tank is attractive, or others might find a single large cichlid with character and attitude attractive. Its really up to you to decide, start browsing different websites and think about what you most like the look of, then decide if you're willing to put in the work and money to set it up and maintain it. ryanjury
As per all of the above What do you like? I would recommend the africans they are easy to find, cheap to buy, very colourful active and easy to keep.. But if it isn't what you like then you wont keep them Just for starters in a tank that size with african cichlids you could do demasoni, yellows, peacocks or some of the slower growing haps (kadango/dolphins etc). Sophia
Maybe a question you could ask yourself is how attached are you to the Oscar, do you want to keep him? Either way you have possibilities that depend on whether he stays or goes.
