Ismart120
It'll kill the fish! I know cause I've done that too... You're kidding right? lol, i guess at least you didn't to give them cola or another flavored drink for the extra nutrients at the same time.... phoenix44
I was 16 or 17 when I did that IIRC. :slfg: Not pretty at all. I used soda in all fairness and I made it with a soda stream machine.
Ismart120
Did you get a reading of what the pH was after? I'd be interested to know what it was that actually did most of the damage - ie, if it was just the sudden change that did it or not? And I have to agree, that co2 system looks, quite, unique. I think its the assortment of saws nearby that does it. lol
Nymox
Hahaha I'm just not the sort of person that is content looking out the window twitching curtains, I just to go outside and explore. Use your logic its only pressurised co2, Don't be afraid to try new things. The only potentially bad thing was the change in pH but I added a bag of coral sand to my filter as a buffer and its stable as.
livebearer_breeder
Very inovative Nymox, im keen to try it! whats the white thing on top?
Nymox
its a part of the original machine. I would write up how I have done it but if anyone is careless they might end up with a co2 bottle missile. I am in the middle of rigging a model train set track switch to some vice grips as my "solenoid"
Ismart120
I have to give you credit for innovation. wouldn't it be easier to solder a circuit board than use train tracks though? Seeing as you have the know how to set it up. And then sell some more to us that would get headaches trying?
Nymox
Not using the track itself just the actuator and switch. I use what I have on hand
