REEVESTA
I need him to grow a fare bit before he is big enough to move to the big tank (or he will be CK food) how can i get him to grow fast? Ive tryed sinking cichlid gold but he just spits it out, but he ravenously eats spirulina flakes (I dont expect him to grow very fast eating that  ) What foods should I try? And what will help him grow? I will do lots of/frequent water changes He is in with 3 large angel fish so he will need to compete for food. Hes about 5-6cm including tail, I will try for some pics soon Thanks Reevesta

Fruju
massivore beats all other foods in bulking up fish hands down, firm believer after seeing it work 1st hand.
REEVESTA
Probems are that they are to big but i can break them up. And then he may not even eat it if he isint even eating cichlid gold. And i spent the last of my cash on him a nic and two fire mouths. Masivore costs around $60? how long does it last?
REEVESTA
looks like he has a taste for prawn should have cut it up smaller........... how do you tell if a fish is choking? :sml2:
R32GOTMLK
Masivore is the lager pellet size and carnivore is the smaller size i belive
ally07
Masivore is the lager pellet size and carnivore is the smaller size i belive Yup that's right. It's the same content in each pellet, just different sizes. But, having said that, if you compare the weight/ size of the pellets, $60 is cheaper in the long run than buying a few of the smaller packets. I guess you can start with one small packet for now and get massivore when he's bigger. If he's not eating, starve him! A few days' fast always gets fish eating.. R32GOTMLK
$60 if for which size?
henward
massivore is slightly different to sinking carnivore according to hikari themselves. massivore is a steop above in terms of growth - there are a few ingredients i am told that makes massivore a faster pumper than a sinking carnivore. but sinking carnivore is designed for smaller mouths. just break massivore, and leave in the tank, when it softens they will eat it. Hikari floating sticks, massivore are my two choices
ally07
$60 if for which size? It's for the larger size. If Henward is correct, then definitely bite the bullet and get massivore. If you simply multiply the cost of the smaller packet to get the weight of the massivore packet, massivore is actually quite a bit cheaper. Breaking it up into smaller pieces gives you more versatility. The other option which Henward suggested (floating sticks) is also good and cheaper, but the growth rate might be slightly less (though it is still very substantial). Of course, small daily water changes will help your fish to grow really big, really fast too. Scientifically proven and published.
R32GOTMLK
it comes in 3 different sizes.. so $60 for a kg? dam thats good where can i get some?
