henward
I am looking at some fish f oods. some claim this and that. i guess im looking for peoples technical knowledge. I am a huge fan of hikari arowana sticks. jump carnistick, massivore and sinking carnivore. i have never seen growth like i have in massivores..(i am not at all paid by hikari) 8) anyway, i am looking at other foods that claim wonders. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Pets-animals/Fish/Fish-food/auction-373311156.htm silkworm pupa, high protein, apparently full of goodness. just wondering, what scientific backing does this back? what is in them that makes them so good? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Pets-animals/Fish/Fish-food/auction-374276544.htm JBL, better tha hikari? the same? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Pets-animals/Fish/Fish-food/auction-373575841.htm best value for money but what brand is it? does anyone have this and know ingridients? my diet plan for my VIP is prawn stuffed with massivore and jumbo carnistock. (carnistic is really just hikari sticks but bigger so its easier to stuff 2 pellets and equals to 4 or 5 pellets. ) but wondering if i should explore the cheaper brands? silkworm looks awesome, i just like the look of it, sci fi like

David R
I'm in the same boat as you, a big fan of hikari for large predatory fish, can't go past massivore of the food/jumbo sticks! But like you, thats based on experience rather than scientific research. For the other fish I'm becoming more of a fan of NLS because of its higher vege content. henward
yeah, NLS thera a for clowns, awesome, and awesome value. as for meat eaters, i do like hikari. but yeah im about to make my clown food again, my old batch ran out. i wanna make a batch of no pellts in it, just purely natural fresh food. when i rearrange tank in a couple weeks, my grow out will be fed predominantly massivore and fresh food. in the freshfood baatch here is what i wanna do as a paste mix 1) raw shrimp 2) raw beefheart 3) silkworm pupa (either FD or fresh, raw frozen fromthe korean shop) 4) courgette 5) vitamins 6) spirulina 7) garlic into rolls like my discus tucker but for my clown loaches. silkworm pupa will bring up the protein massively. for VIP im gonna stuff shrimp with shell with jumbo stick and massivore, also gonna try to see if the vip will eat silkworm pupa, if it wont eat freeze dried, i will try fresh fro the korean supermarket - it will be like feeding waxmoth i guess has anyone tried frozen silkworm pupa from the korean shop?
