Painting the back of my tank

If it is on the back of the tank, against a wall, how is it going to get scratched?

I have spray painted the backs of tanks and found the paint to be reasonably scratch resistant. Do several thin layers rather than fewer thicker ones.

We rolled on some acrylic house paint and it gave a much better finish than when brushed on the first tank. The edges do try to a peel a little if it gets bumped by wires going around corners if you take it right to the edges like I did, but overall I'm happy with it and would do it again.
