newaqua
Hey Guys, I have some bristlenose eggs that I need to move, (or theyll get eaten!). They are attached to a piece of wood. Any suggestions on how to uplift them from the wood? I havent tried to move them yet, are they usually stuck quite well? I was thinking a tea spoon to dislodge them??? Thanks Mike
waterlogged
probably best to move the who;e thing but the male should be looking after them
SamH
As Waterlogged said, leave them attached to the wood. Just take the whole thing out with the male if possible, he looks after them.
ally07
What makes you think that they'll get eaten? The father usually does a pretty good job of defending his nest..
firenzenz
As above- keep the eggs the wood. I wouldn't bother taking male, as it is likely that amount of disruption would void his natural defence instinct. Use an airstone to aerate. Would putting extra wood/stone as cover around where he is now give more protection, and save you moving as I agree they are good protectors
