axolotl-danio
I purchased two giant kuhli loaches AKA Myers loaches today and their markings are completely different. I'm pretty sure they are not normal kuhli loaches as they don't look much like my 8 kuhlis but are they both Myers loaches??? They are both still quite small so they are in my leopardfish tank 22c-24c until they get a bit bigger than my angels mouth. BikBok
how big are they meant to get? The one in the 2nd pic (single loach) has similar markings to one of my Kuhlis.
kiwiplymouth
Not to be confused with Myer's Hillstream loach (Pseudogastromyzon myers) Nice one a-d. did you get them from Maurine ?
axolotl-danio
No Petz 'n' All had them although I do occasionally buy fish from petmart too. I also put my name down for another upside down cat so hopefully my current one will become a bit more active. I had always just assumed the Hillstreams were mislabeled but now I know. Thanks. axolotl-danio
how big are they meant to get? According to http://www.loaches.com about 10cm so not a whole lot bigger. This website also says they have wide black bars like one of the new ones but image searches for myers loach have come up with many different patterns. I don't think it's a kuhli as all my kuhlis have spotty patches like these ones: http://www.fishlore.com/aquariummagazin ... hes-lg.jpg
BikBok
hmmm maybe I have both types and I didn't know it! I have spotted and non spotted. The non spotted are bigger than the spotteds.
axolotl-danio
Some websites say that their can be quite a it of pattern variation. I guess I will just wait and see.
