I blame the parents. :facepalm: Next time there are eggs in a cave they're going to a breeding tank with the female for a few days after hatching then they'll be left to their own devices to grow out. The parents obviously do a good job up to a point, I would wait until they are free swimming or near to it and siphon them, the longer you leave them with the parents the better off they will be.. but if you had to I have had success in the past with removing the cave with female/eggs inside into their own tank.
