ryanjury Posted February 7, 2011 Report Share Posted February 7, 2011 Generally when the parents spawn again the fry are regarded as food or end up getting eaten so it is best to remove them if you want to keep them.. In the wild the parents would chase the fry off and they would go and find places to hide and grow up (or get eaten) but in our tanks they don't have the space to do this. I have seen fish that don't eat their older fry when they spawn again but the older fry will try and eat the younger ones and may get eaten/killed for this.
