Fruju
update on tank; new plants picked up from a friend, and courtesy of waterlogged . Now its looking like a jungle. Fei feng is looking great! love this fish! He is about 3-4 inches now with wicked colour, blue dempseys are in the sump until Jardini is moved on. I am running a double tube regular flourescent bulb (4ft), and a 3ft t5 unit, tank is 60cm deep, enough lighting? Reccommended ferts to add to the tank? Will have to replenish my stock of bichirs after having a mass suicide of delhezis for unknown reasons :tears: But tank is looking a lot nicer

David R
Looks cool, flagtail isn't bothering the plants??
the-obstacle
Looks good - the tank will look great once the plants grow in a bit. The lighting should be ok for now but you might want to look at something a bit stronger once there is a lot of cover - as long as you'll be adding co2 and ferts to balance the light of course. reptilez
How much are the flagtails to buy from petstores?
Fruju
Nah, flagtail is all good, a really great fish for sure, active and colourful. Flagtails are retailing for about $109 from HFF, however this one has FAR superior colour than all the others that I have seen for sale, I think that 2 subspecies may have been imported, they were labelled as red tailed flagtail, and flagtail - growth rate has been great on mine, good diet and good tank conditions helped bring out colour. I will probably be unable to upgrade lighting and add co2 at the moment, but what sort of fertiliser would be appropriate?
