djay
Hi guys my pond has gone cloudy and green, I brought a bottle of Barley extract dosed it with 25mls 24 Dec but still doesn't look much better should i have doubled the dose or something, could someone tell me. I have an internal fountain with foam filter. But getting a laguna external pond filter 4500 tomorrow as my other one packed up and having waterfall coming from that. Caryl
Did the cloudy and green coincide with the filter packing up? At this time of year it is common for ponds to go green, especially if they get a lot of sun and not much plant cover. What size is the pond and how many fish in it? How long has it been going? Never tried the barley extract so don't know the dose rates. I assume they are on the bottle.

I have an outdoor tank that goes green in a few days after a 50% w/c
Black Sabbath
My big pond looks nice with a tinge of green to it aslong as it does not start to look brown or "soupy" and frothy then I do not think it causes any harm. Can still see the fish fine
