Either a solid, slightly raised Sheet of metal above to stop people dropping stuff in, or a much finer grid to catch everything. supasi Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 16, 2010 Its not as simple as you suggest Dennis. As the name suggests, storm water systems are needed to cope with "storm water". This means covering or using a finer grill will create problems during times of heavy water. People will always take the easy option. The idea of labeling the drains is to jog memories and make people think. Much the same as the signs around the roads that says "speed kills" .
