Morcs
Im getting my beardie a bigger home, currently lives in a 120x45x45. Main reason for upgrade is want more height - my bulbs and heater are mounted inside the enclosure, and i want to build up driftwood and stuff so he can climb, but i dont have the height as distance between bulbs and floor is under 30cm. The options I have: 120Lx60Hx60D 150Lx60Hx45D I have a desk which i just braced which will fit the 4ft, but the much nicer sideboard i have which has the current viv on, allows me to go 5ft long, but only 45 deep. I prefer the idea of the 5ft with height. Which is a better option? extra foot long versus extra 15cm deep?
A-town...
I would go a foot longer..

WTM
Hmmm, not a clear decision... 120x60 = 7200cm2 150x45 = 6750cm2 So despite the shorter length, the 4 foot actually gives the dragon more overall room, also it means the dragon can lay in all directions. I'd actually suggest you could fit a 150x60, as long as the weight of ordaments is on the parts supported (the dragon will never be heavy enough to tip it over). Id love 150x60, but dont have a stand. the sideboard cabinet i have is 150x45, dont want to have to get another piece of furniture... In a longer tank ill have a better temp gradient too. What I mean is, the tank, given the low weight of the beardie, could possibly over hang the front and back of the stand by an amount.... just keep all the furniture in the tank, within the area supported by the stand. Oh, meh it would look funny. I ordered the 5ft today. Built the hood for it today, just needs a lick of paint.
