suemack Posted December 19, 2004 Report Share Posted December 19, 2004 Got a pair of keyholes, turned out both females (now 3yrs old)........ they lay eggs together :roll: They've always lived together. My other 'pair' of keyholes I presume are males (18 mnths old), cos they don't lay eggs!! Wouldn't it be luverley if they came with little finny m/f tags when they were babies!! :lol: Would it work to put the 2 males into the tank with the females, or better to split the pairs in separate tanks. May have to THEN separate them, but have dither fish in with them. Makes them guard their eggs and off spring better. Remove any babies about two weeks after free swimming.
